I baled on several events I wanted to attend this weekend. I'm making a public delaration to be more social in the future. Had a relaxing weekend with my beautiful wife. How she continues to become more lovely each year is one of her mysteries.

Monster of God

Monster of God is a book about animals that eat humans. I've found it to be fascinating reading material. David Quammen is the author. One tidbit, from a section on keystone species. Warner Bros had it wrong. The coyote is a top level predator, it preys on the mid-level predators. When it dissapeared from some urbanized California areas, the mid-level predators ate up all the roadrunners. So Wiley was really the Roadrunner's friend, in some ways. ;)
