I remember when some similar results were tossed around, maybe a year ago? It was possibly just the press-release from this work, too, given publication delays.
Bering (the author of the report/analysis, but not the work itself) does a really good job of analyzing some of the pitfalls of the research (good science journalism makes me *really* happy!), and making it accessible. So yeah, interesting.
